Our escapes combine a great vacation experience with health and wellness suited for many levels of ability. Exercise in disguise. When sights and sounds intermingle with learning about the social, educational, and historical value of the location, you barely realize you’re walking and exercising. You’re just walking to the Colosseum in Rome, or onto the Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Or Le Havre, France. You’re strolling through the city parks of Barcelona at the La Merce Festival, or Disney World or Universal Studios. How about the streets of St. Augustine, San Tropez, the harbor in Marseilles, the Thames in London, through the Christmas Markets in Lille, Bruges, or Brussels?

The Creative Escapes wellness getaways take you to many fantastic destinations to focus on meditation, relaxation, Tai Chi, social dance, beach walks, tourist events, historical, and other activities in an ideal atmosphere.  We have chosen magnificent beach, mountain, and country settings for our wellness and active vacations. These holidays offer health awareness development and outings for those who would like to become more serious about having fun, while getting serious about wellness.

About Our Destinations

Creative Escapes selects some of the most desirable and sought after locations in the world to enjoy our vacations. Whether the beachfront estate in Malibu (where both Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein visited), the villa on the white sands of Tróia, Portugal (where European dignitaries holiday with their families), or Castles in Europe, our destinations are chosen to suit that exquisite balance between exuberance and serenity.

We Have A Committed Team

All Creative Escapes associates have been personally selected for each trip by professionals who have worked with them in the past and observed them working directly with people with disabilities. Most trips and events will have a ratio of one staff member for each three or four participants. Higher ratios can be arranged if special needs exist or if there is need for even greater individual care. All of our employees have years of experience in working with people with disabilities and are especially sensitive to the day-to-day issues which regularly arise. They help, guide, and educate our vacationers with their medications, their ADLs, and in using their precious vacation budget wisely. The goal and ultimate measure of a trip’s success is to create an experience to which the vacationer will want to return year after year. All Creative Escapes employees are respectful, warm-hearted, fun, and inclusive. We have a keen sensitivity to the needs of those with developmental disabilities, and we appreciate how important Creative Escapes vacations are to our special travelers. Therefore, all of our providers have been trained in Positive Behavioral Strategies, Gentle Teaching Methodologies, and are caring individuals.
